‘New Wave’ Earrings by Sheila Fleet, Orkney

These gently curved-shaped earrings are inlaid with flame coloured enamels of red, orange and yellow, and are suspended from silver posts. The reverse has been stamped with the maker’s own mark ‘SD’ and ‘925’ for sterling silver. They are not fully hallmarked as they fall under the required weight that legally necessitates hallmarking.

The earrings come in their original black box with gilt edging, together with Sheila Fleet’s name printed in gold to the underside of the lid.

Sheila Fleet is an award winning jeweller from Orkney. In 2013 she received an OBE for her services to the jewellery industry and in 2024 she was presented with an Honorary Doctorate from the University of the Highlands and Islands - https://sheilafleet.com/.

Condition:

The exterior of the box, notably the lid, shows some wear and tear.
