The Norwegian silversmithing firm, David Anderson, was established in 1876. By the 1950s, it employed many young designers including fourth generation family members, Uni and Benedikte David-Andersen. Uni established her own workshop in 1959 although continued to produced designs for her family. Ben married into the family and in the early 1960s started working with her sister-in-law. She is probably best known for her Spider’s Web design.
Note: The ‘Troll Series’ takes its name from the Norwegian troll, a creature that is part of the country’s folkloric traditions.
