A Victorian silver, double Albert pocket watch chain, fob, and vesta case, marked Birmingham, 1900 & 1907

A Victorian silver, double Albert pocket watch curbed chain with sprung clasp, T-bar, fob and vesta case. The chain and T-bar are marked sterling silver with each link stamped with a lion passant (for sterling silver), and are by Henry Allday & Son, Birmingham, 1900.

The circular fob is set with a central fleur-de-lis and the surrounding words ‘TRURO CATHEDRAL CHORISTERS SOCIETY’. The reverse is hallmarked ‘R.P’ for Robert Pringle & Sons, Birmingham, 1900.

The square vesta case (match box) has a secure hinged lid and is engraved with scrolling foliage, together with the initials ‘EW’ within the central shield. The striker to base is in good condition and the interior is gilded. The cases has been hallmarked ‘AJ’ for Albert Jackson, Birmingham, 1907.

The chain has been professionally cleaned and all links checked.
